Vehicle Breaks
On Tuesday March 27, 2012 CPD received numerous reports of vehicle break-ins on the East Side during the early morning hours. Items were stolen from numerous vehicles. None of the vehicles involved were locked! LOCK YOUR CAR!  The suspects only targeted unlocked vehicles!

These days most cars are equipped with internal security systems that either flash the lights and honk the horn or activate an audible warning if someone tries to break in. Give us a hand; set your alarm! Lock your cars, set your alarms, and alert CPD if you see something suspicious.

Residential Break-Ins

CPD has taken reports on multiple residential breaks that occurred during daytime hours on last Wednesday 03/21/12. The CPD Detective unit reports that Westwood PD also received a report of a residential break that occurred on the same day in their town. A neighbor of the break in Westwood reports that a gentleman knocked on her door around the same time asking if she was interested in having her house painted. She described him as a white male in his 30s, about six feet tall with a stocky build. At this time we are unsure if the break-in in Westwood is related to our breaks but we ask you to be vigilant.

Give us a hand! Residential break-ins usual occur during daytime hours when the perpetrators assume that nobody is home. Communicate with your neighbors! If someone is home during daytime hours, ask them to keep an eye on your house and call us if anything looks out of place! Contrary to popular belief your are not bothering us, you're helping us!
